Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987.
It pays homage to the 100 anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. The theme Fearless Vision 2020 honors “the brave women who fought to win suffrage rights for women, and for the women who continue to fight for the voting rights of others.” Women’s History Month takes place from Sunday March 1 to Tuesday March 31, 2020.
